‘The One Where We all Lost a Friend’- Friends Cast Pay Tribute to Matthew Perry

The cast of the Emmy award-winning 90s Sitcom “Friends” take to social media to mourn the death of fellow cast member Matthew Perry.

Perry,54, was found “unresponsive in a hot tub at his LA home” in late October.

On Wednesday evening, Jennifer Aniston and Lisa Kudrow joined the rest of the cast as they shared their thoughts and feelings in a series of Instagram posts.

Aniston, who portrayed Rachel Green, shared on Instagram: “Having to say goodbye to our Matty has been an insane wave of emotions that I’ve never experienced before.”

“He was such a part of our DNA. We were always the 6 of us.”

She added, “I’ve been poring over our texts to one another. Laughing and crying, then laughing again. I’ll keep them forever and ever.”

Shortly after Aniston’s post, Kudrow, who played Phoebe Buffay, took to her feed and wrote: ” Thank you for making me laugh so hard at something you said, that muscles ached, and tears poured down my face EVERY DAY.”

David Schwimmer shared a throwback photo (above) on his Instagram featuring him and Perry.

In his message, Schwimmer, who played Ross Geller, wrote: “Thank you for ten incredible years of laughter and creativity.”

“I can imagine you up there, somewhere, in the same white suit, hands in your pockets, looking around- could there Be any more clouds?”

The tribute by Aniston, Kudrow, and Schwimmer came a day after their fellow co-stars Courtney Cox and Matt LeBlanc.

Cox, who played Monica Geller and Perry’s on-screen wife, shared her favorite clip of the pair’s London episode that sparked their character’s love story.

She wrote: ” He whispered a funny line for me to say. He often did things like that. He was funny, and he was kind.”

While LeBlanc, who stared as flat-mate Joey Tribbiani, posted a series of pictures on set with Perry. With the caption: “It is with a heavy heart I say goodbye.”

“The times we had together are honestly among the favorite times of my life.”

He ended his heartfelt tribute with a comedic message. He wrote, “And I guess you’re keeping the 20 bucks you owe me.”

A foundation was established in honor of Perry to continue his dedication to helping those battling addiction.

The foundation website features a statement from his 2022 memoir: “Addiction is far too powerful for anyone to defeat alone. Together one day at a time, we can beat it down.”
