Wahib Albaradan,35, was charged with murdering his partner, 27-year-old Salam Alshara.

West Yorkshire police were called the scene around 6:45pm on Sunday 19 November, were they found Ms. Alshara “seriously injured” at a property in Dearnley Street in the Ravensthorpe area of Dewsbury.

Despite medical attention, they were unable to save her. She later died shortly after having suffered from stab wounds.

Mr. Albaradan will appear at Leeds Magistrates Court today over the death of his partner.

Detective Inspector Guy Shackleton said, “We are continuing our investigations into Salam’s murder, and as part of those enquiries, we would like to speak to anyone who knew them.

“Both parties, who were a couple, are thought to have come to the UK around 2020 and arrived in the Dewsbury area in 2021 with their four children.”

Police are still searching for the wider family as the incident is under investigation.

Shackleton requested for anyone who can assist to contact the Homicide and Major Enquiry Team on 101 referencing police crime number 13230642219.”
